At 55, My Own Family Threw Me Out

At 55, Susan has spent three decades as a self‑sacrificing wife and mother. When her terminally‑ill mother calls her home to Kentucky, her husband and son force her to stay and work as their free nanny. Robbed of her savings and jewelry, she breaks away from the suffocating family. She returns to care for her mother, builds a new career as a licensed caregiver, and learns to protect herself with law. Though family wounds linger, Susan finally chooses to live for herself instead of only serving others.
