After They Fired Me, I Became Legend
The young man Lin Zhou, a master of the traditional craft of porcelain repair, partnered with his friend Zhao Qiang to start a business. When the venture flourished, Zhao Qiang and his wife, blinded by greed, dismissed Lin Zhou's artisan skills as worthless. They callously offered him a mere twenty-five thousand yuan (around $3,500) as compensation and humiliated him before driving him away. Staying true to his principles, Lin Zhou decided to open his own shop.
One day, an elderly man who looked like a beggar came to Lin Zhou after being chased away by Zhao Qiang. Seeing the man's broken bowl, Lin Zhou kindly repaired it free of charge, treating the stranger with dignity and care. To Lin Zhou's astonishment, the man turned out to be a billionaire who had lived a low-profile life, and the seemingly ordinary bowl was an antique from China's Sui Dynasty (6th-7th century) worth five million yuan! Lin Zhou's extraordinary craftsmanship not only earned him fame overnight but also marked the beginning of his rise to fame as a master craftsman.
Meanwhile, Zhao Qiang and his wife, consumed by their greed, ultimately spiraled into bankruptcy and downfall, their betrayal leading to their ruin. Lin Zhou's tale became a legendary story of resilience and triumph, showing that staying true to one's values and honing one's craft can triumph over betrayal.
