In the Name of My Wife
Lin Hui is reborn at the most agonizing turning point of her life—the very day she discovers her husband Shen Lixiao is cheating with his mistress Xu Shanshan, just after learning she is pregnant via IVF. In her past life, Lin Hui’s public outburst at the film set led to humiliation by Shen Lixiao. Xu Shanshan even showed the video to Lin Hui’s critically ill father, causing his death. In despair, Lin Hui drove herself, Shen Lixiao, Xu Shanshan, and her mother-in-law Zhang Guizhi to their deaths. Reborn, Lin Hui is calm and decisive, determined to take revenge. She immediately transfers her father to a private hospital, cutting off all contact from her enemies. She also terminates her pregnancy and begins gathering evidence of Shen Lixiao’s affair by installing surveillance and hacking his phone. With the help of her lawyer best friend Shen Qing, Lin Hui devises a divorce strategy, demanding Shen Lixiao leave the marriage with nothing due to his grave misconduct. She teams up with Shen Lixiao’s industry rival, director Zhao Qiming, to obtain evidence of Xu Shanshan’s chaotic romantic history and her pregnancy report, discovering that Shen Lixiao was abroad when Xu Shanshan conceived—proving the child is not his. Meanwhile, the truth about Shen Lixiao’s severe oligospermia is exposed, revealing his near-zero chance of natural conception. Throughout the divorce proceedings, Lin Hui navigates with composure and ultimately secures 70% of the cash assets, a villa, and 10% of the company’s shares. After the divorce, she collaborates with Zhao Qiming to expose Shen Lixiao’s scandals—such as “affair during pregnancy” and “Xu Shanshan’s romantic history”—during his award ceremony, utterly destroying his career. Upon learning the child is not his, Shen Lixiao assaults Xu Shanshan, causing a miscarriage that leaves her infertile and eventually drives her insane, leading to her hospitalization. Desperate, Shen Lixiao threatens to jump off a building to force Lin Hui into reconciliation, but she publicly exposes all his misdeeds, causing him to fall and suffer severe injuries. Later, Xu Shanshan seeks revenge with a knife but mistakenly injures Zhang Guizhi, leaving her critically wounded. Su Wanqing, a previously hidden victim of sexual assault, steps forward with Lin Hui’s encouragement, leading to Shen Lixiao’s imprisonment for rape. After achieving her revenge, Lin Hui declines Zhao Qiming’s romantic feelings and returns with her recovered father to a peaceful countryside home. There, she cultivates flowers and vegetables, spending her later years in tranquility, completing her transformation from endurance to awakening, and from revenge to redemption.
