My Savage Neighbor
Su Xin moves to a city apartment and meets an odd neighbor, Aunt Wang, who always covers herself head to toe. She tries to be friendly, yet Aunt Wang turns her away harshly. Confused, Su Xin overhears neighbors gossiping about a savage lurking nearby that preys on humans, and she grows extremely anxious. Right then, Aunt Wang knocks at her door. Su Xin tries to tactfully deal with her, but Aunt Wang persists and threatens her to move out of the apartment. In the middle of the night, Su Xin hears someone unlocking her door. Peering through the peephole, she sees Aunt Wang standing outside, filling her with greater terror. She tells security guard Li about everything. Li asks Su Xin to work with him to handle Aunt Wang. Su Xin hesitates, unsure whether Aunt Wang is truly the savage. Li then shows Su Xin Aunt Wang’s real appearance — a hairy, monstrous face. Convinced, Su Xin agrees to help trap Aunt Wang inside her house. Just as Su Xin feels relieved, Li reveals his vicious true colors. He confesses Aunt Wang was actually trying to protect Su Xin and had been wrongly misunderstood. Li took a fancy to Su Xin and harbored evil intentions. He chanced upon the key to Su Xin’s home, and Aunt Wang witnessed this. Before Li can harm Su Xin, the police arrive and arrest him. In truth, Su Xin had figured out Aunt Wang was harmless. She suffers from a rare condition, which sparked all the malicious rumors. Su Xin accepts Aunt Wang’s kindness and lets everyone see the kind heart beneath her strange appearance.
