Reaper Bai Wuchang Crushes the Sakura Gods
A hundred years ago, a meteor from outer space formed the Divine Arena. Nations could summon their native deities to boost or drain national fortune. Once national fortune dried up, a nation’s territory would be carved up by others. Strangely, people of Dragon Nation in a parallel world have completely forgotten their ancient myths. For a century, they could barely awaken their native gods. National fortune teetered toward zero, bringing endless natural disasters and national decline. Many traitors betrayed their homeland to contract Sakura‑land and Western divinities. Chu Hao, an office worker from modern times, accidentally transmigrates into this world. Drawing on his thorough knowledge of Chinese mythology, he sets out to reverse Dragon Nation’s desperate fate. When the statue of Bai Wuchang appears in the arena, Li Tai’an, spy‑president of the association, misidentifies him as the God of Wealth, nearly blowing the summoning chance. After a tied national public vote, the white‑haired senior official overrides objections and hands the summoning authority to Chu Hao. Chu Hao successfully summons Bai Wuchang to take on Sakura‑land. Bai Wuchang slays Shuten‑dōji in one strike. However, Sakura‑land’s divine contractor Mekawa Nakuno strikes foul and kills Chu Hao. Bai Wuchang exhausts nearly all his divine power to resurrect Chu Hao and fades away on the brink of death. Citizens across the country pour massive faith power and bring Bai Wuchang back to life, after which he departs quietly.
