Grand Martial Master: Punching the Foreign Foes
At an ancient martial arts tournament, Chen Zhidao, a grand master hailed as the soul of Chinese martial arts, craved supreme glory. He stood by and watched a fellow warrior get beaten to death even after the man had surrendered, climbing to the pinnacle atop his compatriot's body. Lost in the empty fame of being a revered master, his arrogance eventually brought him a fatal disaster, and he was cursed by Xiao Yue. When he came to, Chen Zhidao found himself transported a thousand years into the future, inhabiting the body of a modern man who shared his name. In an era where traditional martial arts had declined, this modern Chen Zhidao was dismissed as reckless and incompetent. His martial arts school had fallen into decline ever since his master passed away unexpectedly. On the very day of his rebirth, a group of traitors colluding with foreigners burst into the school under the pretext of challenging its martial arts and humiliated everyone present. This time, fighting for dignity and redemption, Chen Zhidao struck fiercely, settling both past grievances and new insults. He defeated the intruders with his consummate martial arts, and later overpowered Westerners who sneered at Chinese kung fu, spreading the true spirit of traditional Chinese martial arts to more people. The foreigners launched repeated provocations and resorted to dirty tricks. Chen Zhidao united fellow martial artists to stand against them, driving the invaders out of the country time and again. He promoted Chinese martial arts to unprecedented heights, earning worldwide fame and cementing his status as a true grand master. Gradually, the curse from his past life took effect. Chen Zhidao endured the pain of losing his dearest ones and finally comprehended the true essence of practicing martial arts. With the joint efforts of everyone, he broke free from the curse. After surviving countless partings and life-or-death trials with his beloved Su Hanyue, the two lovers were finally united and held a grand wedding in celebration.
