Meanwhile, Su Huairu, enraged by Yunchu’s engagement to Huaijin, attempts to seduce him—only to end up in his torture chamber. Through interrogation, Yunchu learns of Ruoxun’s new scheme: posing as a merchant named ""Qinglong"" to broker a deal between the Japanese and traitorous bankers. At a high-stakes trade conference, Yunchu outsmarts Ruoxun by revealing herself as the real Qinglong, backed by a warlord’s testimony. Ruoxun’s Japanese ally, Zhongcun Xiongrui, executes him to curry favor with Yunchu—but when she refuses his opium trade offer, he kidnaps her father. Though Huaijin rescues her father and burns Zhongcun’s opium stash, the villain frames Huaijin for her father’s murder. Yunchu pretends to fall for the deception, luring Zhongcun into a trap where she and Huaijin turn the tables, handing him over to anti-Japanese forces. In the end, Yunchu and Huaijin shed all misunderstandings, their love and vengeance both fulfilled.
