Glory as My Shield, Protecting My Family
Jiang Weiguo is a distinguished veteran who retired in obscurity. Turning down a grand retirement banquet arranged by military leaders, he returned to his hometown of Nancheng to reunite with his granddaughter Jiang Yuanyuan, his only remaining family. Little did he know that his granddaughter had long been bullied and tormented by Liu Man, the daughter of the Liu Group’s owner, while studying at Nancheng University. Meanwhile, top military officials, including the Four Border War Gods and Five Military Governors led by Liu Jun, had gathered in Nancheng to hold a retirement ceremony for Jiang Weiguo, yet they could not track him down. When Jiang Weiguo’s injuries triggered an emergency alert, Liu Jun and his companions realized the veteran was in danger and launched a city-wide search. They soon uncovered the long-term abuse Jiang Yuanyuan had endured and identified Liu Man as the culprit. Upon learning the old man’s true identity, Liu Gang and Liu Man were terrified. They tried to cover up their crimes and offered bribes to reach a settlement, all in vain. Desperate, they kidnapped Jiang Yuanyuan, attempting to force Jiang Weiguo to help them flee. In the final showdown at a warehouse, Jiang Weiguo arrived with Liu Jun and other officers just in time to rescue the girl. Liu Gang and Liu Man were arrested and brought to justice. The Liu Group collapsed after its crimes were exposed, and the father and daughter received severe legal punishment. Jiang Yuanyuan regained her dignity and justice, proudly accepting her award at the school ceremony. In the end, Jiang Weiguo enjoyed a warm reunion feast with his granddaughter and old comrades. He defended his honor, as well as the precious family bond and righteousness.
