Bait of the Divine
After a car accident leaves Ethan comatose, he awakens the ancient power of the spirit pearl, healing his fatal injuries. He soon discovers his uncle Daniel’s plot to seize control of their family’s empire. To secure a crucial business deal for their company, Oceancrest Group, Ethan and Sophia enter a high-stakes fishing tournament. Despite Daniel’s underhanded tactics—draining the lake and sabotaging their hooks—Ethan uses his pearl’s magic to summon legendary catches: a rare four-gilled carp, a 30-pound giant fish, and even a 40-pound monster reeled in with nothing but a feather duster, turning the tide in their favor. Undeterred, Daniel teams up with an influencer to challenge Ethan to a shrimp-catching contest—only for the boy to summon a chain of 10-foot-long lobsters. Later, in a drift bottle hunt, Daniel plants a fake, but Ethan deciphers ocean currents and fish movements to expose the fraud. As the conflict escalates, the Demon Clan’s Elder intervenes, and Daniel poisons Oceancrest’s CEO, Vincent Yu. With the help of a mermaid, Ethan retrieves a healing pearl from the ocean depths, while surveillance footage exposes Daniel’s accomplice, Quentin Yu, as the true culprit. When Daniel sabotages a shipment, causing the seafood to die, Ethan overexerts his powers to revive them—just as the Dragon King, Aurelius, appears, confirming Ethan’s royal lineage and replenishing his energy. The arrival of an orphan girl, Nora, foreshadows the rise of the demon core. Daniel allies with the Demon Clan to seize it, blackmailing Ethan with a $50 million debt—until the boy fishes up sunken treasure to counter him. In the final showdown, the Demon Elder summons a heavenly lightning strike, obliterating Ethan’s body. But the Dragon King resurrects him using a sacred lotus stem, and Ethan merges his spirit pearl with Nora’s demon core to defeat their enemies. With Daniel’s downfall, Sophia takes over Lin Enterprises. Blending Eastern mythology with corporate intrigue, the story transforms fishing competitions into supernatural spectacles. Each cycle of "villainous plot → epic comeback" drives the narrative, weaving themes of family betrayal, destiny, and mother-son bonds. The unresolved tension between dragons and demons hints at future adventures, leaving audiences eager for more. Packed with magic, humor, and heart, the series delivers a clever, courageous child protagonist while championing justice, family loyalty, and resilience—proving that even the smallest hero can reel in the biggest victories.
