The Twin Swap Conspiracy
Ji Shiyun, the formidable CEO of the Ji Group, faced death during childbirth due to severe hemorrhage. Her husband, Ren Quan—an ambitious man who married into the family—had long been conspiring with Ji Xiaoyan, the family's adopted daughter, who conveniently gave birth on the same day. Coveting the Ji family's vast fortune, the pair secretly swapped the newborns outside the delivery room, giving Ji Shiyun's healthy son to Ji Xiaoyan and passing off Ji Xiaoyan's child (fathered by Ren Quan) as Ji Shiyun's own. Weak and deceived, Ji Shiyun raised this boy, named Ren Chen, as her heir. However, Ji Shiyun was far from defeated. A postnatal checkup revealed toxic residues in her system and, shockingly, no biological link to Ren Chen. Instantly recalling her husband's suspicious behavior, she grasped the conspiracy. Instead of confronting them, she masterminded her own revenge. She secretly tasked her loyal confidant, Li Jun, to retrieve her true son and send him abroad for protection and elite upbringing, naming him Ji Hanwen. Simultaneously, she adopted an orphan, Ji Tai, to pose as the child taken from Ji Xiaoyan, keeping him close—a pawn destined for abuse at Ji Xiaoyan's hands. For eighteen years, Ji Shiyun played the part of the oblivious wife and doting mother, indulging the increasingly spoiled and arrogant Ren Chen (Ji Xiaoyan's biological son). She coldly observed Ren Quan and Ji Xiaoyan flaunt their affair and cruelly mistreat Ji Tai, whom they mistakenly believed was Ji Shiyun's flesh and blood. Under his biological parents' toxic influence, Ren Chen grew reckless and insatiably greedy. Meanwhile, the true heir, Ji Hanwen, blossomed overseas into a brilliant superstar. When Ren Quan and Ji Xiaoyan, colluding with the bribed company executive Li Jun (unaware he was Ji Shiyun's mole), staged a boardroom coup to seize power, Ji Shiyun feigned defeat. She signed over her shares and was exiled from the family and company. Blinded by triumph, the conspirators walked straight into her trap. Soon after, they shamelessly ingratiated themselves with the newly returned superstar, Ji Hanwen, at his lavish birthday gala. At the party, Ji Shiyun made her poised entrance. As Ren Quan's family attempted to humiliate her once more, Ji Hanwen stepped forward, embraced her, and shattered their world: he revealed himself as Ji Shiyun's true son; exposed Ji Tai, abused for years by Ji Xiaoyan, as Ren Quan and Ji Xiaoyan's biological child; and declared the prized Ren Chen merely an adopted orphan Ji Shiyun had used as a decoy. Ji Shiyun then presented irrefutable evidence—including DNA tests—and exposed Ren Quan's long-term poisoning plot and financial fraud. Police arrived promptly to arrest Ren Quan. In the end, Ren Quan faced prison. Ji Xiaoyan, stripped of everything, descended into madness and homelessness. Their biological son, Ji Tai, was left mentally shattered by years of abuse.
