Pearl caught her boyfriend Blake cheating with his "bestie" Madison. Blake shrugged it off, sneering that Pearl only had eyes for him anyway. Heartbroken and furious, Pearl decided to get even — she zeroed in on Blake's roommate Cade, the football captain who outshone Blake in every way. She meant to make Blake jealous. But Cade had secretly liked her all along, even kept the pink cami strap she'd lost. He wrapped her in fierce, tender protection. Pearl dumped Blake for good, paid off her mother's debts with scholarships and part-time jobs, and earned Cade's family's acceptance. She found real love and a true home. Blake and Madison got exactly what they deserved.
