The Jade Pendant: A Mother’s Lost Heirloom
Chu Yun was sold into the mountains and forced to give birth to Lin Yue, but her daughter was abandoned by her biological father Xu Zhen due to his preference for sons over daughters. Determined to fight back, Lin Yue confronted Chu Xinghe again, only to be gaslit and abused. Chu Yun and Chu Xingran arrived just in time to save her, and Chu Yun noticed the jade pendant—the very one she had given Lin Yue at birth. For years, Chu Yun had kept its twin, clinging to the hope of finding her daughter. Fearing Chu Yun would disinherit him in favor of Lin Yue, Chu Xinghe bribed doctors to falsify DNA reports—but Chu Xingran exposed his scheme. Abandoned even by his sister, Chu Xinghe snapped and tried to kill Lin Yue in a final act of desperation. Chu Yun shielded her daughter, taking the fatal blow herself. In the end, Chu Yun and Lin Guifang recovered, while Chu Xinghe faced justice. Mother and daughter were finally reunited, bringing the story to a bittersweet yet satisfying close.
