Spirit Spring of Stream‑Gully Village Season 2
Li Fei, a young man from Stream‑Gully Village, was once known as the village “sickly weakling” for his fragile health. Half a year ago, he chanced upon a mysterious jade vase. The spirit spring water inside could supercharge plant growth and restore vitality to barren soil. Transformed by its power, Li Fei grew extraordinary fruits and vegetables. His oranges sold for 20 yuan per jin and still sold out instantly; his tomatoes tasted honey‑sweet, and his cucumbers were incomparably crisp. Peace was shattered by breaking news: Jinsheng Group planned to invest 5 billion yuan to build an eco‑tourism resort in Qingshan Town. Stream‑Gully Village and all its back‑mountain wasteland fell within the land‑acquisition scope. Ma Dali, project manager of Jinsheng Group, showed up with bodyguards to seize Li Fei’s family land, offering a meager compensation of 10,000 yuan per mu, which Li Fei flat‑out rejected. Ma Dali pressured Village Chief Wang to intervene. Li Fei counter‑proposed: contract the village land to him, and he would lift the whole village out of poverty. Skeptical, Village Chief Wang finally leased thirty mu of back‑mountain wasteland to Li Fei. Meanwhile, Shen Qingxue, host of provincial food show A Bite of Journey, and Qian Wenyuan, CEO of Qian’s Group, came to visit out of great curiosity. After tasting Li Fei’s tomatoes, Shen Qingxue was utterly amazed and immediately invited him for a feature episode. Unconvinced, Ma Dali bit into a cucumber, his expression spiraling out of control as he ate ravenously in a thoroughly humiliating scene. Jealous of Li Fei’s rising fame, Ma Dali sent bodyguards to sneak into the vegetable garden at night and pour toxic liquid. They were subdued on the spot by Big Yellow and its three pups. Big Yellow snapped a sickle with its bite, sending the thugs scrambling away in terror. After reviving the seedlings with spirit‑spring water, Li Fei’s gaze turned cold, and he formally declared war on Jinsheng Group. He soaked rice seeds in spirit‑spring water, which sprouted overnight, and cast the minor Rain‑Summoning Spell, turning compacted barren ground into fertile spirit farmland in an instant. In merely one week, golden rice waves rolled across the thirty‑mu paddy field, yielding 1,860 jin per mu — more than double the output of ordinary rice. Qian Wenyuan begged to buy the entire harvest, yet Li Fei first gave every household in the village a free sack of spirit rice. After tasting it, Village Chief Wang’s years‑long lower‑back pain eased. The villagers finally realized this was no ordinary grain, but spirit rice that boosted physical wellness.
