Brave Princess
Deep within the palace, in a secluded chamber, a sleeping princess was suddenly awakened by a harsh slap from a maid. Before she could recover from her dreams, the maid viciously lifted a bucket of foul-smelling pig slop and forced her to eat it. Shocked by this unexpected humiliation, the princess felt more anger than surprise. In retaliation, she slapped the maid back, leaving the latter utterly stunned—she had never seen such a bold princess before. The princess quickly realized that she had transmigrated into the body of a false princess described in a book—crippled with a broken leg and not even the biological daughter of the Empress. In this palace filled with schemes and power struggles, survival meant finding a strong backer. Recalling the novel’s plot, she formulated a plan in her mind. Just then, the Crown Prince happened to pass by. A glimmer of calculation flashed in the princess’s eyes as she swiftly adjusted her emotions, putting on a pitiful expression. With a soft sob, she murmured, “Your Highness, I willingly took that blade for you. As long as it’s for you, I’ll do anything.” The Crown Prince, touched by her devotion, showed a flicker of tenderness in his gaze. However, things did not go as the princess had planned. When the Empress learned of this incident, she became suspicious of the princess’s intentions. Digging into her background, she discovered that the girl was not her biological daughter. Enraged, the Empress resolved to eliminate this threat to her position. Upon hearing the news, the princess was overcome with fear. She knew she had to devise a foolproof strategy to survive in this treacherous palace. Secretly, she began reaching out to loyal ministers, seeking their support. At the same time, she used her intelligence to thwart the Empress’s repeated assassination attempts. During a grand banquet, the princess captivated the nobles with her beauty and wit. Seizing the opportunity, she subtly revealed the Empress’s schemes to the Emperor. Enraged, the Emperor ordered a thorough investigation. In the end, the Empress’s crimes were exposed, and she was deposed and banished to the Cold Palace. Through her wisdom and courage, the princess not only survived the deadly palace intrigues but also gained the Emperor’s favor and respect. She forged alliances with influential ministers and proved that even a false princess could carve out her own destiny within the imperial court.
