College students Yuan Zhu and Hua Zi help their senior Mo Han move into a new place, hoping to win her favor. But during a break that night, a phone call drags them into a nightmare. A delivery man reportedly died in a car accident — yet somehow, he “delivers” a book called Five Arts of Evil Summoning to their door. Then the calls start. A voice threatens them: complete all the rituals within one hour, or all three will die. Drugged with hallucinogens slipped into their drinks, they are forced to perform eerie rituals: blowing out candles, placing shoes at the foot of the bed, calling their names before a mirror, and playing the Four Corners Game. As the rituals unfold, terrifying hallucinations consume them one by one. Yuan Zhu sees his older brother — who drowned saving him. Hua Zi encounters the violent man he once tried to poison. Mo Han comes face to face with another version of herself — one filled with resentment. These visions expose their deepest guilt and darkest fears. As the crisis escalates, the clues all point to one person: Mo Han's adoptive father, who died ten years ago. He abused her for years. Hua Zi once tried to poison him. Yuan Zhu's brother was distracted while witnessing the abuse and failed to save her. And Mo Han herself chose to do nothing when her adoptive father had a heart attack. Today is the anniversary of his death. The countdown hits zero. The door rattles as if something is about to break through. Then — the truth takes a sharp turn. Mo Han suddenly calms down. She reveals everything was a setup. She used hallucinogens in their drinks and a game framework designed by Hua Zi to fabricate the entire paranormal ordeal. Her plan was to use the two young men as “substitutes” on the night of her adoptive father's death anniversary — to ward off the vengeful spirit she imagined was coming for her. Sunlight streams into the room. The drugs wear off, and the lies collapse with them. Mo Han breaks down, trapped in the terror of her own making.
