Unappreciated Worth
Tang Yanrong takes a bite of the cake hand-made by her husband’s children, which is marked “For Mom”. Unexpectedly, her son furiously smashes the cake on her, shouting that she does not deserve it. It turns out the “mom” they talk about is her husband’s mistress. Completely disappointed with her husband and the children, Tang Yanrong decides to charge them every time they ask her for favors. Unaware that the house belongs to Tang Yanrong, the children yell at her arrogantly. Tang Yanrong plans to give her son a special gift on his 18th birthday banquet — severing ties with them and kicking them out of the house. Terrified of being homeless, her husband forges a property certificate, claiming the house belongs to his mistress. Once the lie is exposed, he flies into a rage and demands Tang Yanrong hand over the house to the other woman. Tang Yanrong lures them to the real estate center. Together with her adopted son, she tricks her husband and the children into signing a contract with sky-high liquidated damages. That is not all. Tang Yanrong also seeks to recover all the money her husband spent on his mistress over the years. The mistress throws constant tantrums and ends up having a miscarriage. At the hospital, she denies her pregnancy, spreads rumors that a famous doctor took bribes and colluded with Tang Yanrong to frame her. After her lies are exposed, she is detained by the police. The husband and children try to reconcile with Tang Yanrong in bad faith. They arrange an expensive dinner but expect Tang Yanrong to foot the bill. Tang Yanrong leaves halfway. Her second adopted son makes the husband and children stay to wash dishes to pay off the debt.
