Ten years ago, Isabella and Tristan were in love, but their relationship faced opposition from Tristan's parents. Rita, Tristan's childhood sweetheart and his arranged fiancée, was furious about his behavior; she killed Tristan's brother and bribed Isabella's parents to frame Isabella as the killer, leading to her imprisonment. Unbeknownst to anyone, Isabella was pregnant at the time. While in jail, Isabella endured torture from Rita's planted subordinates, pushing her towards a miscarriage. A female inmate who could not have children secretly protected Isabella and helped her escape by faking her death. When Tristan learned of Isabella's supposed death, he was heartbroken and ultimately chose to be with Rita. Later, at a party, Tristan encountered "Karson's girlfriend," who turned out to be the supposedly dead Isabella. She did not recognize him. Rita felt threatened, but Karson mentioned he had met Isabella while studying abroad. No one realized that Isabella had received help from the female inmate to create a fake identity, all part of her plan for revenge.
