You Slapped My Mom, I Bankrupted Your Whole Family

Fashion designer Grace Weaver gave her husband Richie’s family company, WF, free licenses to her personal design patents, helping turn the struggling business into a fashion powerhouse. For five years, however, Grace and her mother Linda endured constant humiliation from the Weaver family. Her husband, Richie, always told her to “put up with it.” When her mother is publicly humiliated at a fashion show, Grace finally has enough. She revokes all 27 patent licenses and files for divorce. Without her designs, WF quickly falls apart. Leaving the Weavers behind, Grace starts over with her mother and friends, building a new career—and a life of her own.
